An Ode to the Sweet Pea

Our vision for this styled shoot came to life beautifully! We wanted to incorporate sophisticated styling with a very specific floral story. Sweet peas quickly made a statement and left us enchanted by their butterfly-like blooms. I mean seriously, if you stare at them long enough you’re going to start seeing wings all aflutter and drawing-in their sweet fragrance as it floats through your screen!
Pages torn from an old book of poems were hung from floor to ceiling, while pretty French detailing was woven throughout. French words for ‘sweet’ and ‘beauty’ were hand written above opaque watercolor and French macaroons were served alongside pink cake befitting Marie Antoinette herself.
This shoot most definitely had an air of romance about it; leaving me longing for more pretty packages tied in satin, tulle, sonnets, and sweet peas. Oh the sweet peas!
